Campground Rules & Regulations

 

It is the goal of Bear Ridge Campground Management to ensure a relaxing, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone. These policies are in place to accomplish this goal, please read them carefully. All campers and their visitors / guests must comply with this agreement. Management reserves the right to refuse access to the property, or remove from the property, anyone, for any reason.

Speed limit at Bear Ridge is strictly enforced at 5 mph for all motorized vehicles.

One person from each camping party must register at the office upon entering the campground (seasonal campers excluded). That person must provide a copy of their valid driver’s license, name, address, vehicle license and registration along with the number of persons in their party. And must sign a waiver. Our sites are intended for temporary enjoyment and not for long-term residency. Guests are not tenants and cannot receive mail or packages at the campground address. Any such items will be returned to the sender.

At least one registered adult camper (18 years old or over) must be present while campsite is in use.

Due to the presence of Black Bears in the area, and for the safety of all the campers, all food items must be secured in your vehicle, RV or cabin. All trash must be placed in the dumpsters.

Alcohol is permitted but limited to your campsite. Public intoxication and/or obscene language will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the property.

Smoking is permitted outdoors. Please extinguish and dispose of cigarette butts in receptacles, not on the grounds. No smoking in the public buildings, including but not limited to the lodge, bathhouse, pavilions, rental RVs and cabins. No smoking at the Pool.

Fishing is permitted from the banks of the pond with the exception of the beach area. Catch & Release only. Please Do Not Litter.

Washing machines are not permitted. Washing dishes or pets in the bathhouse showers or sinks is prohibited.

Washing of RVs, decks, sheds, golf carts, and off-road vehicles with the water source at your site is prohibited. Golf carts and off-road vehicles can be washed at the designated “car wash” on the well road for a small fee.

Charging of “Electric” vehicles is prohibited. Charging of electric golf carts and electric bicycles is permitted.

Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult when using the showers.

Pets must be on a leash and must not be a disturbance to other guests. Never leave pets unattended. Dog pens in camper's campsite must be removed when you are not there. No pets are allowed in the public buildings including the lodge, pavilion, bathhouse, rental cabins, rental RVs or pool area. One rental cabin is designated as “pet friendly”. All animal waste must be picked up immediately and placed in a closed garbage bag and disposed of in dumpster. Camper accepts full and complete responsibility for any injury caused by their pet’s actions. Excessive barking is not tolerated. If any dog shows aggressive behavior or bites someone or the owners failure to pick up the animal waste the pet will be immediately banned from the property. Pets must have current immunizations.

Cutting of Trees, branches or shrubs dead or alive is prohibited. The use of Herbicides and Insecticides is prohibited.

Golf carts and Side-by-Sides are permitted to be operated within the campground. Anyone operating a vehicle must possess a driver’s license.  Quads and dirt bikes are NOT permitted to be driven within the campground with one exception; Quads and dirt bikes are permitted from your camp site directly to the nearest trail head ONLY.  ALL vehicles must stay on roads throughout campground. DO NOT drive through the grass. Speed limit at Bear Ridge is strictly enforced at 5 mph for all motorized vehicles

No bicycle riding after dark unless equipped with proper lighting.

CANCELLATION POLICY: A 1-day fee is forfeited for any cancellation not made 7 days prior to check-in. Additionally, no refunds will be given for cancellations of reservations during a holiday week (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) or for early check-outs or no-shows. No Refunds will be given for cancellation or interruption that occurs due to inclement weather or power outages due to West Penn Power. A valid credit card number is required to hold all reservations.

Entrance onto the campground property constitutes permission for the management of Bear Ridge Campground to photograph the visitors while on the premises and to use any resulting pictures or videos for any lawful purpose without compensation to the visitor.

DO NOT dig or drive anything into the ground without Bear Ridge management LOCATING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES!!!

Campsite is designed for one unit only. With prior Bear Ridge management consent, a tent may be permitted for a fee for not longer than three consecutive nights.

Daily visitors must check-in at the office immediately upon arrival. The visitor or the persons listed in the agreement will be charged a daily rate of $8.00 per person and the visitor must exit the campground by 9:00pm. Guests who remain after 9pm will be charged an additional $3.00 allowing the guest to stay until 11am the following morning (9:00pm-11:00am) Visitors that fail to check in at the office will be charged a $25.00 administration fee. Visitors are prohibited at any campsite in the absence of the persons listed in the agreement. It is your responsibility to make sure that your visitors are aware of and comply with all campground policies and rules. Bear Ridge Campground Management reserves the right to refuse entry to the premises to anyone, for any reason. Visitors are limited to a maximum of 4 people at a time without prior arrangements with management.

For the safety of everyone, please put out your fire before you go to bed, and NEVER LEAVE YOUR FIRE UNATTENDED. Campfires must be maintained within the fire rings provided at each campsite. Wood must fit safely inside the ring.

Maximum of one vehicle per site. Overflow parking is provided throughout the campground.

Firearms of any kind are NOT permitted in the campground. Any person possessing a firearm within the campground will be removed immediately without refund and all future privileges revoked.

Fireworks (including sparklers) are NOT permitted in the campground. Any person detonating any combustible or explosive composition within the campground will be removed immediately without refund and all future privileges revoked.

Check-out time is 11:00am

Loud music, cursing, and other disruptive behavior is not permitted at any time. Quiet time is from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. ATVs, dirt bikes, and side-by-sides are not permitted to be operated in the campground after 11p.m.

Adults must supervise their minor children. Minor children (under the age of 18) are prohibited from occupying said campsite without their parent or legal guardian present. Minor children shall be restricted to their campsite at 11 p.m. and prohibited off campsite after that time without the accompaniment of an adult 18 years or older.

The park provides a pavilion for camp activities or can be rented (for a nominal fee) for individual parties.

RV owner must maintain property, casualty, and liability insurance coverage. Bear Ridge Campground is not responsible for any loss, property damage or injury sustained while on or in your property (RV, golf cart, ATV, etc.). All trailers must have current license plate.

No vehicles may be operated after dusk unless the same are equipped with adequate lights. Only licensed drivers shall operate said vehicles.

Guests assumes full responsibility for their safety while using the pool, the lake and any of the park equipment or amities. No Lifeguards on duty at the Pool or at the lake. Swim at your own risk. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Swimming Pool Rules and Regulations

There are NO LIFEGUARDS at Bear Ridge Campground.

Swim at your own risk.

 

The following rules and regulations are for the protection and benefits of all to help assure safe and sanitary operation of the pool facilities. Your cooperation in abiding by these conditions will afford pleasant relaxation and recreation for all members/guests. Parents are requested to caution their children to observe all rules and regulations.

 

Safety Issues

  1. Swimming is strictly prohibited if there is thunder and/or lightning in the vicinity.

  2. No bottles, glass, cans, gum-chewing or cigarette smoking or vaping is permitted within the pool fence.

  3. Food and drinks are permitted within the pool fence but are not permitted in the pool.

  3. No diving or jumping from the edge of the pool.

  4. No running or rough play in or near the pool area.

  5. Parents assume responsibility for their children.

  6. Children under (10 years old) must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older).

  7. No pets are allowed in the pool area.

  8. No diapers except special swim diapers are allowed in the pool.

  9. No loud music, offensive language, or loud yelling is acceptable in the pool area.

10. Appropriate swimwear must be worn in the pool.

11. No swimming after designated swimming hours.

12. No diving, No jumping off backwards or in any way that throws the head back towards the side of the pool.

13. No throwing of any objects that might injure another person or damage property in or around the pool.

14. Everyone is encouraged to shower before getting in the pool.

15. People with skin disorders, colds or any other infectious or contagious disease should not enter the pool.
